Pricing

How much does a corporate video cost?

One of the most frustrating parts of commissioning anything is getting a quote and especially businesses providing a service to other businesses, but hopefully this page can be useful for you.

How pricing works in the video industry

The APA is the trade body for Production companies. It offers guidance on how much production staff should get paid and while we’re not bound by their rules as an independent video production company, it does give a basic guide as to what it could cost us to hire in other members for your project. A video production budget comes down to, talent hire, venue hire, equipment hire, insurances and time.

One way we can keep your costs down is by not having a huge team ourselves. If we had a team of 10 staff to meet payroll, we’d have to charge a lot more to businesses. By having a smaller team ourselves we can still provide a service to smaller budgets and bring in trusted freelance staff should you need more from your production.

Our projects range from £1000-£10,000 so we’re on the lower end of video production costs. Production for TV ads or household brands paying for online video advertising can be paying anywhere from £20,000-£200,000 and even beyond.

A bigger budget doesn’t mean more profit for us, quite the opposite in some cases. It means we can provide more production value to your projects. If your clients expect high quality in your marketing, a bigger budget can hire a studio, a TV standard camera, extreme slow motion cameras (these can cost £2000 per day)

Can you provide a day rate?

Day rates only really work for a freelancer, not a video production company that sees your project from idea to execution. Let me give you an example

Example 1 - 2 minute case study video

Filming an interview in your office with some supplemental shots of how your business works.

1 camera operator

1 day filming

1 day editing

£800 - Effective day rate £400

Example 2 - 2 minute case study video

Filming an interview onsite in a factory with CEO

Drone shots show how well situated you are to the motorway for easy distribution.

2 teams of camera operators capturing different parts of the factory showing the process because both parts have to happen simultaneously for your process to work.

Each camera team has two operators, one to capture the wider shots of your team working together and one to capture close up detail shots.

4 camera operators

1 director

1 drone operator

1 day filming

3 days editing

Assuming a £400 rate per person which is the low end average for a freelance camera operator in 2026

£2400 shoot day (6 people on set)

£1200 editing

Total £3600, effective day rate £900.

Both examples are for a two minute case study video. Both have different moving parts to achieve the outcome.

Both budgets are very different

If we tell you our budget will you spend it all?

No, but it gives us an idea of what you can achieve. You might have a £10,000 budget and we can deliver the video production for £3,000 based on what you want to achieve. That could be £7000 you could put behind the video in ad spend so you can gain some data to monitor your ROI as well as making sure the right people are seeing your video.

You could have £10,000 for production but you need epic drone shots, hiring a yacht, flying a team out to the Bahamas and then we can’t deliver your idea. Though if you do have budget for that, let us know. The answer is probably a yes from us.

In a discovery call we’ll get to know your goals and audience etc and if there are ideas already on the table we will be able to give a ballpark of what it could cost to achieve your video.

If your idea needs £8,000 to deliver but you know you’ve got £3,000 to spend then we’d need to know. A common reaction is to walk away and ask other companies for quotes but you could be wasting days asking the same question and getting similar quotes from everyone without ever getting near your £3,000 budget. It saves you time to be open about your budget.

We’re a business too, we know there is an amount you want to spend or can spend. We will always aim to come under budget to give you some wiggle room and a quote would never increase without your written consent and your request to do so.
